Prescott and Nevada County are committed to the process of development and growth while still working to maintain the friendly hometown atmosphere that so many citizens find appealing. Both the City Council and the Quorum Court dedicate money each year to Economic Development projects to help develop new jobs and a better quality of life for everyone in the community.

At the Economic Development Office, it is our mission to maintain and expand the tax and employment base in Nevada County by diversifying the local economy and enhancing the climate for new investment. On a daily basis, the Economic Development Office works with governmental leaders, private industry and interested individuals from throughout the county to develop projects to improve the business climate in the community and enhance the quality of life for our residents. Economic development in our area is guided by the community's Arkansas Community of Excellence (ACE) Strategic Plan. The plan is an integral part of Prescott and Nevada County's economic development activities and our projects are designed to meet the goals set by the community.
