The Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce sponsors the honor card program to reward outstanding academic achievement in the local schools. Cards are given to each student who qualifies in the Emmet, Nevada, and Prescott School Districts. The cards allow students to receive discounts from local merchants and restaurants as a reward for their efforts.

Eligibility for the Honor Card Program

• Any student of the Prescott, Nevada, and Emmet School Districts, Grades 5 - 12, who receives A's or B's with an A, B or S for Citizenship.
• Tranfer students must qualify in the first grading period after enrolling. That is, no grades other than those earned in Nevada County Schools will apply.
• The participating student will report any lost or stolen card to the principal. Lost cards will not be replaced until the next grading cycle. The principal may report the loss to the Chamber of Commerce who may wish to report the loss to participating businesses.
• Abuse of the rules of the Honor Card Program will result in permanent ineligibility of the student.

Uses of the Honor Card

• Cards are for the purchase of goods and services at participating businesses for only the student to whom the card is issued (for example, loaning cards to others or making purchases for others is a violation of program rules and will result in permanent ineligibility).
• Cards will have the student's name, school, and expiration date. Merchants may request additional identification.
• The Honor Card shall be presented to the business' cashier before items are rung up on the register.
• Any alteration of the Honor Card invalidates the card.
