Message from the Chamber Director

The Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce works hard to help Prescott and Nevada County be the best community possible. Throughout the year the Chamber conducts programs aimed at improving the quality of life and the ability to live and conduct business in the county.

The Chamber hosts numerous receptions throughout the year to honor those who are retiring, teams of our young people who have achieved success or just people who've done something special and deserve to be recognized. Businesses working with the Chamber host coffees to help local citizens become more familiar with their services and products. One of the most exciting activities is cutting the ribbon to open a new business or industry in the area.

The Chamber assists in retail development by hosting workshops, working with merchants, and having events like the Halloween celebration, Nevada County Trade Days, Snow Ball Avalanche and other events to get people to shop in local businesses. The Chamber spotlights a different business in the newspaper each month.

The Chamber also works with a large number of other agencies to help with programs, grants, and activities such as the Nevada County Fair Board, the City Beautification Committee, Civic Clubs, Nevada County Extension Office and others. Programs in the schools and popular state programs like the Great Arkansas Clean-Up, Honor Card Program, Arkansas Scholars Program and the Easter Egg Hunt are all coordinated through the Chamber. The other links will share information about some of our major programs.

You can see that the Chamber is busy helping our county grow and prosper. But more than that the Chamber is helping our community become a great place to live and raise our families.
